L'ATELIER

Of the Wild’s clothing is meant to be season-less, layered over each other or paired back with the changing seasons. We only want to make what you need and nothing more. Once an order is placed we begin building the garment just for you. The entire process is done in our atelier in Georgetown, Texas. Handling all the cutting and sewing in house allows us to take the care and time needed to create heirloom pieces.

The inside of our garments are clean finished with french seams or bound, leaving no raw edges. Signature wide hems hold our organic hand printed labels noting both the fabric content along with the name of the seamstress who constructed the piece. All trims sourced are organic or natural in origin.

In the atelier we are building a library of utilitarian shapes that can be worn for specific purposes or for no reason at all - from painting in your studio, to beach combing or becoming a mother.

Our fabrics are chosen based on the impact they have on the Earth along with their strength and hand feel. Many of our un-dyed pieces can be composted after they have been loved for many years. We are currently developing plant dyed garments and hope to offer them in the future.

Each garment made becomes a bridge connecting us to the Earth, a gift, which in turn becomes our responsibly to care for as best we can. One part of our mission is to teach garment care to increase the longevity of each garment and to decrease water + energy waste. More to come on this!

Atelier of the Wild strives to prioritize the relationship we have with the earth and its people. A relationship that we hope will grow and evolve over time to become better and better.
